Vintage!

I was exploring new styles of editing and stumbled upon a vintage style that I fell in love with. I mixed a few different vintage styles to come up with one that I really liked. Enjoy!

The Utah Gang

These are our niece and nephews that came to visit from Utah. They are great kids! We love them so much. And they were such good sports about posing for the camera.

The Smith Family

Cody has a very large and very loving family. His brother who lives in Utah came down for the holidays and we were so grateful to have the chance to get a complete family picture.

Cody and I were asked to do the honors. It was a little easier than previous pictures we had to be in, because no one had to run back and forth. Cody got me a camera remote for Christmas. He is so sweet!

Even with the remote, it had it's challenges. It was a big job! But we had fun doing it. Enjoy the fruits of our labors. :)

Let It Snow

Joshua and I were having a fun day decorating and getting in the mood for Christmas. Here are a couple of fun pictures of Joshua and his festive gear.

The Slanina Family

This is a great family! Cody works with Hilda, and we were blessed enough to get to spend a few hours with her and her wonderful family. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the afternoon.

Joshua

These are some pictures I took of our son Joshua. We were in his room playing after his bath and he was being so funny. So I started snapping pictures. And this is what I got. He was an angel and allowed me to indulge myself. I have to admit that he is my favorite subject.

The Talley Family

This was a fun adventure! My family decided to head out into the rain on Thanksgiving morning and take some family pictures. We had so much fun. The weather left us with a very small window of time to get the pictures we wanted. And some of the best shots ended up being the candid moments. It made for a great and relaxing start to our Thanksgiving day.

My husband Cody snapped this shot of me and my two siblings. It is one of my favorites from the day. :)

Here, my dad was snuggling my son and protecting him from the rain.

Here the two were hiding out under a low palm tree.

And this was a blast! We would set up the shot. Get everyone ready. And then run for the picture. Bless my hubby's heart. He did the running for me.

Photography!!

Cody and I recently purchased a new dslr Nikon camera to capture the precious moments of our son Joshua growing up. It quickly turned into a hobby that is growing by the second. We have found that taking pictures is something we love. It is so nice to have such a supportive husband who is there to help me progress as an artist. I just love capturing moments. Especially those found within a loving family.

With lots of practice and perseverance hopefully my photography will blossom and I will have many memories captured to look back on. I would like to remember each one and hope that those who allowed me to capture their memories can treasure them as well.

I will try to post some of my favorite shots and invite you to comment on any or all of them. I hope that you will enjoy my photographs as much as I enjoy taking them.
